Asset Management Plans
Many school districts are experiencing declining enrollment and, as a result, now have more schools than required to house the current enrollment. Maintenance and security of unused sites adds an additional drain onto a district’s resources. However, if carefully planned, these facilities can be a source to generate additional funding in support of educational programs.
TSS helps evaluate a district’s long-term need for facilities, and evaluate the alternative uses for the facilities not needed anymore. TSS professionals develop comprehensive asset management plans which may include the sale, lease, and/or other alternative use of facilities for the district’s consideration.
Asset management plans can be of immense value in putting idle and unused facilities to work for the districts. Due to the unique experiences and ingenuity of TSS professionals, we have been able to provide a wide array of innovative options for the district’s consideration.
