Who Should Attend

Principals, Assistant Principals, Aspiring Administrators, Master Teachers, District Data Coordinators, Deans and District Level Staff.

Session Description

The quality of leadership is second only to the quality of classroom instruction in determining student achievement. Strategies covered to develop leadership skills include: how leadership influences learning, three sets of linkages between the school leadership and student outcomes, settings direction, developing people and redesigning the organization.

This course will focus on the elements necessary to create a culture of continuous improvement at the classroom and school level. Topics that will be discussed in class include:

  • Identifying the stages in a continuous improvement cycle model.
  • Examining the conditions that encourage measureable goals both in student achievement and other features of a school.
  • Demonstrate an understanding for identifying, engaging and communicating with a wide range of education stakeholders.
  • Acquiring and coordinating the resources necessary to supporting teachers’ and principals’ use of data.
  • Facilitating buy-in from a wide range of entities
  • Changing management in the field of education
  • Navigating the political intersection between data analysis and teacher evaluation.

About the Presenter


Dr. Ziggy Robeson

Dr. Robeson’s work within school systems encompasses administrative assignments including; superintendent, deputy superintendent, assistant superintendent, director, principal, and coordinator positions. Prior to her administrative work she taught in both public and private schools as a classroom teacher in various grade levels from kindergarten thru adult levels. She has presented at multiple conferences and workshops both in the United States and internationally. Dr. Robeson led multiple efforts developing creative solutions to improve programs and processes for schools which resulted in numerous state and federal awards, as well as the creation and development of a highly successful fine arts school. Increasing student achievement though continuous improvement and high expectations is her passion.

Hours of Instruction

Each Level Course is 15 hours of instruction over two full consecutive days with an opportunity for follow-up activities for the purposes of implementation of learned content.

Cost: 1,390 AED until January 23, 2018 (subject to space availability).
1,550 AED after January 23, 2018.
For those registering for the first day only – 765 AED.

Cancellations received by January 23, 2018 will be subject to a 200 AED fee.
Cancellations received after January 23, 2018 and “No Shows” will be subject to the full registration fee.
