Timothy McClure served 34 years as a teacher and administrator, most recently as Deputy Superintendent for the Butte County Office of Education with responsibility for preschools, after-school programs, online learning, technology in the classroom, health and safety, professional development, beginning teachers, and support for districts and schools in Program Improvement.
Mr. McClure supervised coordinators with expertise in assessment and data analysis, English language learners, students with disabilities, mathematics, and large and small group facilitation. His office provided the targeted assistance many schools in state and federal programs needed to achieve significant gains in student achievement.
He currently is lead external evaluator for a district in Northern California in Year Three Corrective Action. He works in collaboration with administrators and teacher leaders to describe current practices in instruction and assessment, then to reach agreement on next steps to move toward alignment with the Essential Program Components. He has focused particularly on effective practices for English language learners and students with disabilities.
Mr. McClure received the 2008 Outstanding Achievement Award in Curriculum and Instruction from the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association for his efforts statewide to help districts and schools improve student academic achievement.
Mr. McClure received his Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University, and his Masters in Education Administration from California State University, Chico.
