Tom R. Davis

Tom R. Davis is a retired comprehensive high school principal with forty years of service.  His career expanded from science teacher and coach to counselor and assistant principal over a seventeen year period in the Anaheim Union High School District. During that time he was selected into the Management Training Program serving in three high schools in leadership roles including educational services, activities & athletics and attendance and discipline. He is a graduate of the California Educational Leadership Academy.

Dr. Davis was selected as principal of Redlands High School during a time of school growth. In his tenure the school grew to 6,500 students and became one of the nation’s largest high schools. Moving to the district office he played a leadership role in the planning and design of Redlands East Valley High School. He opened the school as principal and remained its principal until retirement.  During this time he served on the Board of Directors for the California Interscholastic Federation. He has completed every academy offered by the Association of California School Administrators and graduated from the California Leadership Academy. His specialties include, master schedule, data analysis, budget, personnel, facilities planning and curriculum & instruction. Dr. Davis served two terms as the President of the Redlands Administrators Association and remains a member of the Kiwanis Club of Redlands.

Currently Dr. Davis serves as a hearing office for the California State Appeals Board and is the Executive Consultant for the family manufacturing business, Davis Enterprises which serves the motorsport, entertainment and business communities.  Dr. Davis is proud to have been selected to work with Total School Solutions. His training has included work with charter and private schools and county offices of education in program improvement such as principal coaching, S.A.I.T. and D.A.I. T. which included both site and district assessments. He has 15 years of experience as an adjunct professor at Calif. State University San Bernardino, University of Redlands and National University. His courses included all subjects in teacher and administrative credential preparation. His specialties included school law, finance, assessment, curriculum planning and instructional methodology. During retirement he has served as Interim Principal at one high school and two middle schools.

Dr. Tom Davis garnered three California Distinguished School Awards in two large comprehensive high schools. He has served as WASC Chairperson on 21 site visitations and a team member on 9 site visitations. He has consulted with 16 public high schools, private schools and charter schools. He has chaired committees throughout California, Guam, Northern Marinas Islands and Mexico. Dr. Davis has consulted with many schools and districts on school improvement and multiple WASC processes.  He has earned six California Life Teaching Credentials including Vocational and Technical Education and posses a California Business Certificate. Dr. Davis received his master’s degree in Administrative Leadership from Pepperdine University and his doctorate in School and Systems Management from Western Colorado University.
