Dr. Peggy Lynch
Dr. Peggy Lynch served as a superintendent for almost fourteen years before retiring in 2008 after over 37 years in public education. Her professional experience includes teaching at all grade levels, including university instruction. She was a high school assistant principal and principal and assistant superintendent.
For 24 years, Dr. Lynch worked in the Tustin Unified School District, leaving to become superintendent in Brea Olinda Unified School District, both in Orange County. After seven years in Brea, she was selected superintendent of San Dieguito Union High School in San Diego County, where she worked for nearly seven years. She has been active in ACSA, serving as chair of its annual conference and as chair of the Superintendent’s Symposium. Dr. Lynch is also involved in the Southern California Superintendents and the Suburban School Superintendents, a national organization.
In addition to her consulting work in several school districts, working with school boards, superintendents and principals, Dr. Lynch is a partner in Leadership Associates, an executive/superintendent search firm. Leadership Associates is the premier superintendent search firm in California. Dr. Lynch has also co-authored three books on the superintendent position.
Dr. Lynch is respected for her work throughout California. She has received recognition from Rotary, the PTA, as well as from various local organizations.
