Gail Richards

Gail Richards most recently served as the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services in Capistrano Unified School District, prior to becoming an educational consultant. Gail spent 37 years in public education as a middle school and high school math and science teacher, followed by 19 years as a successful high school principal and District level administrator.

At Capistrano Unified School District, Ms. Richards had direct oversight of 12 middle schools and 7 high schools.  She has received many honors and recognitions throughout her career, including ACSA California Secondary Principal of the Year.

In addition to her work as an educational consultant and secondary school principal coach, Gail Richards is working for the Institute for Leadership Development at the Orange County Department of Education, in the following capacities: Tier I Facilitator, Tier II Facilitator, Assessor for the Developing Principals for the 21st Century Assessment Center, Member of the Advisory Committee for the Tier II Program, and as a Trainer for the Positive Behavior and Support program for high schools.

Ms. Richards received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine and Master of Arts degree from the California State University, Fullerton.
